Guidebook of Low Vega, Puerto Rico

The city of Low Vega is one of the cities with more history of Puerto Rico. Known also like the City of the Melao, it was founded by Antonio Viera, and in the beginning there was called he Low Vega of the Orange grove of Our Lady of the Rosary, although then it was simplified in Low Vega. Today it is located on the north coast of Puerto Rico.

Low Vega consists of thirteen quarters crossed by the river Cibuco. Formerly the Indian tribes of the taínos were living here.
