The Volcano Sandbank in Costa Rica

The Volcano Sandbank, in the north of Costa Rica, not only is a center of volcanic activity. Here you will see a wonderful wild life, impressive hotels and thermal spas, in addition to an idyllic natural environment. The night eruptions of the volcano can be seen from the hotel. To what does it sound interesting?.

The Volcano Sandbank finds in the National park Sandbank, hearth of diverse plants of tropical forest and a wide variety of fauna, like birds of brilliant colors, Capuchin monkeys coatíes and others. The volcano does not find very far of the city of the Fortune, five hours to the north of San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. If you do not want to continue contemplating only the Volcano Sandbank, fence there are other attractions, like the cataracts of the Rio Fortune, to six kilometers of the city of Fortune. There are a few impressive falls of water, of more than 70 meters. To go in bicycle or on horseback is the best option to come to the cataracts, although there are some routes in bus. The entry to the cataracts costs 3 dollars.

And finally, we can approach to the Lake Sandbank. It is sure that any tourist operator organizes an excursion to the lake. Precisely, taking a ferry as the lake it is the best way of coming up to Monteverde, since for highway it is approximately eight hours.
