Mayan ruins in Mexico

Today we want to invite you to a trip towards the past, specifically to the Mayan civilization. This impressive culture left in Mexico an incredible legacy to us in the shape of pyramids and temples, archaeological remains that today can be visited, and that seguramentr will do the delights of all the lovers of the history and the art.

We want to begin our trip in the Mayan Ruins of Wooden palisade, in the region of Chiapas. Truly, we are in a magic paradise, with the backdrop of the mountains and the forest. Chiapas is the state of the south of Mexico, and the Wooden palisade ruins go back to the year 300. But it was not until the VIth and VIIth century when it was turning into an important ceremonial center, under the reign of King Pakal.

The grave of this king was discovered in 1952 in the Temple of the Inscriptions. Most of this grave was moved to the National museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, so that it could visit his everything the one that wants. Inside the Wooden palisade he stands out over all his Palace and his tower. To approach also up to the Temple of the Foliate Cross, and to enjoy a few fascinating panoramic conference.

From here we can continue our trip to the past in the state of Quintana Roo, where, imbue you under the sound of the Caribbean sea, have the Mayan Ruins of Tulum. Only the sea and the iguanas that stand out of the ruins seem to be eternal witnesses of this impressive legacy. These ruins go back to the year 1.200, and, on having been located on the coast, it was forming a port of vital importance, since they were controlling the commerce from Yucatan up to Honduras.

To imagine what can be to visit the ruins from the beach. Of course, we advise you to come early up to these ruins, because it always is usually full of tourists.

The last stop of our trip in the time we do it in the state of Veracruz, to visit the Mayan Ruins of The Tajín. There you will see the spectacular Pyramid of the Niches, which contains 365 vain ones, representing the solar calendar. This place the Patrimony of the Humanity, and it is located close to Papantla, where the vanilla is cultivated. In addition to the Maya, here they lived Olmec, toltecas and totonacas.

If you visit The Tajín you will surprise with a ritual dance the Rockets of Papantla, authentic men - birds who realize a traditional ceremony to honor the people totonaca of Veracruz. The rockets hoist a stick of more than thirty meters high, and rise and go down for him turning, with an incredible facility.
